About This Project

The act of flying in an airplane generates great consequences for the environment. A flight emits carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, sulfur, smoke and water vapor that. It contributes seriously to the acidification of the oceans and in the short-medium term, to global warming. But can you really stop flying? In the cities you can choose public transport or bicycle to get around, but when you need to reach more distant points, do you have another alternative? With Zero CO2 it starts by acquiring a “Biodiversity Unit”. This refers to a group of 10 native trees that, in addition to absorbing CO2 from the flight, contribute to the biodiversity of the cloud forest; attracting flora and fauna again and regenerating space. This unit will be planted by us and we will take care of it and maintain it until it becomes a forest for the community. All this process is done in conjunction with the community and volunteers, thus guaranteeing the direct benefit of Yunguilla through circular economy processes.
