About This Project

A research project aimed at quantifying the ecological benefits of vertical gardens, and their ability become evaporative coolers that could compete with traditional air conditioning systems. Evolution was involved at all stages of the research project, from the formulation of a hypothesis, to the design of the test modules, the measurements, building up a mathematical model and writing up papers for publication. With Evolution’s guidance a way has now been paved not only for further stages of research, but also to introduce vertical gardens as evaporative coolers to the market and the world of construction at large.
