About This Project

Evolution acted as a co-supervisor for the thesis of Dana Boyer, candidate for the MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development at the University of Cambridge. Dana researched into urban vegetation to address psychological and social well-being in sustainable building design. She did this by carrying out case study reviews of various uses of vegetation in building design, in order to understand the relationship between the technical and well-being benefits of the urban vegetation that had been incorporated. This was then compared with an analysis of vegetation in the LEED certification system.
Evolution supported Dana at all stages of her thesis work, where she drew on the in-house expertise in social research leading to the incorporation of greenery as a functional part of many of Evolution’s projects.
