About This Project

The National Secretary of Water and the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, teamed up with the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development, for this project in water education strategies in higher education. Ecuador is currently pushing to ensure every citizen has access to water and sanitation infrastructures. In order to do this a gap in skilled workers and engineers needed to be breached, through education at Ecuador’s technical institutes and universities. Evolution was contracted to a) carry out a qualitative initial evaluation of the sector, through semi-structured interviews and a series of workshops, and b) develop a set of educational strategies and road maps.
