About This Project

MOUCA is a research project with the objective of quantifying the sound absorption qualities of interior vertical gardens for architectural acoustic design. Evolution teamed up with the Universidad Católica of Ecuador and the Technische Universiteit Delft (TUDelft), the Netherlands. The vertical garden design that had been developed with designer Maria Elena Pérez was taken to TUDelft, in order for the garden to be tested in their sound reverberation chamber. To date, the results were presented in the First European and Mediterranean Structural Engineering and Construction Conference at the Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey in May 2016.
