The workshop on Potable Water and Sanitation, aimed to show that through the implementation of sustainable technologies and sustainable management of water resources, a building can be built where water consumption cycles form an integral part of the same natural cycle of water. To achieve this, it is necessary to develop a precise model based on social studies that quantifies: water sources, demands from users and sources of water reuse and recycling. The workshop addressed all aspects of sustainable water management, including, among others: the reuse of rainwater; the treatment and reuse of gray and black water; the irrigation of green areas. In the workshop during 3 days of theory and practice participants from various fields had the opportunity to experiment with different water management strategies, design their own building with a closed cycle of water, and build a filter that gets rid of dirt, oil and soap.
