About This Project

 

Between August 13 and 16, 2019, a specialized intensive course for members of the public sector, professionals and academics within the field of Urban Planning and Transportation was run by Evolution at the Pichincha regional College of Architects of Ecuador. This course had the purpose of making a critical analysis of the latest achievements in urban and transport planning, development of public policies, and their potential contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The project was led by Dr Ersilia Verlinghieri (PhD, M.Sc.), a researcher from the Transport Studies Unit of the Department of Geography and Environment, the University of Oxford, UK. Invited guest lectures were brought in from the national transit agency, local municipality and the private sector.
