About This Project

The conference presentation at the Euro-American Congress “REHABEND 2020” on Construction Pathology, Rehabilitation Technology and Heritage Management, and carried out by Michael Davis, showcased Evolution’s research work that was carried out in collaboration the Transport Studies Unit of the University of Oxford and the PUCE University in Ecuador. The article presents a critical study on Transit Oriented Development (TOD) applied to the Historic Center of Quito, Ecuador, drawing from the results of a participatory research work carried out by the Metrpolitan Institue of Heritage (IMP) of Quito in 2018 with the residents of the Historic Center. The work achieved a deeper understanding of the results related to urban form, transport and social equity within the context of current TOD driven development.
